form, foreshortening, and frigging complicated poses

Hey everyone! This week is week six of the schoolism class i have been taking, as i have slowly been working through the classes I have noticed my eyes have really started to improve. I have had A LOT of fun doing these as I made me really try and analyse the reference. I spent 30 minutes on each of these, and i feel like with each one I got a little better and a little confident.
My process while tackling these was:
Drawing over the reference, drawing cylinders over the limbs, boxes for the ribs and hips, flatter boxes for the hands
Drawing the skeleton and construction separately and trying to measure out the accuracy, making sure my structure is as sound as I can make it.
I then started to outline, starting with the biggest forms and then slowly working in the medium details, and then the smaller details.
Everyday I progressed with these, I got slightly faster allowing me to then add colour for the underwear, and then adding the hoops and ropes!

A lot of the difficulties came up while attempted these, I SUCK at foreshortening, and usually try and avoid it while drawing up concepts and illustrations, and if I do I usually have baggy material over it. so doing this really forced me out of my comfort zone, which is what I need more of.
What I like about doing these studies and exercises of this class is that i'm focusing on line work and thinking differently instead of cheating with painting and painting over and over until it looks ok. I have started making more definite decisions
